Put Me Up On Something!

I'm a huge fan of these two guys solo careers but as a group they are killing it. I can't stop playing this joint right now. Need to pick up Raheem's new CD tomorrow.

The CrossRhodes - Admit It

UPDATE: W. Ellington Felton - She Devil In The Garden

Tell me about some artists that you are really feeling or that you think should get more shine.

I can't hear this track (I'm at work) but one of my favorite artists is Corinne Bailey Rae. She's big over seas but so underrated here. She has one of the purest, sweetest voices. I absolutely love listening to her!

What makes this joint even hotter for me is that it was filmed at my Tuesday night spot, Bohemian Caverns. I was just there last night listening to WES on the wheels of steel. He is the business! I would give anything to dig in his crates. He plays the hotness and he's just feeling it!

There are too many artists that don't get the shine they deserve, which speaks to the state of the industry. That's why I support cats like Erro who do it on the independent tip. He may never get a Grammy but he gets MUCH love from the fans which is what counts.

As for Rah's latest...after 2 listens, I'm not sold yet. There are some decent joints on there. But I still prefer having the Love Experience.

deepnthought - I love Kindred too. Dwele doesn't get talked about much but I still think people know about his stuff.

Eb - I picked it up at lunch today. Sounds good so far.

clnmike - I don't think this joint is on Raheem's CD. You can check the myspace page for The Crossrhodes though.

butta - Yeah...yeah! I know you already posted this but I am not running a music blog like you are doing. I just need you to keep me posted on the new shit. Loving that Van Hunt.

Diva - She's cool but the entire CD....put me to sleep.

Vivrant - So I will assume that the next time I come to DC, we will hit that spot on a Tuesday night. I feel you about the number of underground artists that don't get pushed but like Erro they are reaching a loyal fanbase that loves and supports them.

I am feeling the music - the flow is umm well light but i guess you have to sell records - but the music is mad hotttt
I'm with ODiva on that Cbailey Rae, but I'm feeling that Goapele too! and on the Gospel tip - Marvin Sapp stays on it!

*side eye to you for falling asleep on CBRae*

Soumy...I love Goapele too!

E - We agree on Ledisi. Her CD has been in constant rotation since I picked it up.

Soumy - I feel you about the flow. Wes is much better as a singer than he is as a rapper. Goapele is tight!

Diva - Falling asleep is a compliment. That puts her in the category with Sade, Michael Franks, and Boney James.
