Friday Flashback: Week In Review

This has been one hell of a week. My entire job relocated to a new building. I started taking mass transit to work which drastically changed my morning routine. I don’t have OCD but I am a creature of habit, doing something at a different time or in a different order can seriously mess up the rest of my day. Basically, I’ve been a little off all week. Not an excuse but that is the reason that I’ve neglected to blog as much as usual.

As you know, I am an Obama supporter. Still got hope that a change is going to come. When he first declared his candidacy there was a bunch of talk around the barbershop that he wasn’t black enough. Soulja Girl had the Atlanta News on lockdown

I know y’all have seen the video of this chick going off on an elderly lady on the MARTA. If you live in Atlanta like I do, you’ve seen it on every single newscast, heard interviews with her mother, passengers from the train, and doctors describing her mental health issues. Please stop it! I don’t care! If you ride the MARTA, you have seen worse acts of disrespect than this on a daily basis. This one just happened to be caught on video. My freshman year at Morehouse, my roommates and I witness two homeless people having sex in the last car of the train. That deserved news coverage.

Krush: What are you doing?
Co-worker: I’m working on a resume for my little cousin who just got out of boot camp.
Krush: That’s cool. He’s trying to get his life together?
Co-worker: Yeah. I want him to get a job before he gets back in them streets.
Krush: What did he do?
Co-worker: Don’t laugh!
Krush: OK
Co-worker: He got caught selling crack to an undercover agent
Krush: What’s funny about that?
Co-worker: He was selling crack to get money for his weed habit.
Krush: LOL!
